Performance over time
Choose a measure and academic yearSchool strengths & priorities
Available after loading a schoolAll six key measures load in the background for all pupils, disadvantaged pupils (PP), boys and girls. Each result is compared with the same pupil group in England. Selecting Disadvantaged pupils restricts this analysis to that pupil group. If strengths or priorities are empty, that category is checked against the published local authority average for the same group, measure and year. If no result exceeds either benchmark, the closest results appear as relative strengths, with their actual gaps. Local authority averages include all admission categories; the benchmark is named on each result.

Available for percentage-based measuresAn action-planning estimate using the latest matching school and England results. For a percentage measure, it estimates how many additional pupils would need to meet the threshold for the school rate to reach the national rate, using the school’s published GCSE maths entries for the same year. It is not a prediction or a causal estimate.
Choose a percentage or rate measure (for example, English and maths grade 5+). Scores such as Attainment 8 cannot be converted directly into a count of pupils.
This School’s Top 3 Subjects
All pupilsSelect a school to see its strongest subjects locally.
Subject rankings use all pupils because the subject dataset does not provide disadvantaged-pupil breakdowns. The selected school’s own subjects are ordered by its strongest local rank for the percentage of single-award GCSE entries achieving grades 9–4. Grammar schools are compared only with grammar schools; non-selective schools are compared only with non-selective schools, in the same local authority and year. Unclassified schools cannot receive a matched ranking. If two dates are selected, the latest is used. Missing or suppressed rates are excluded; at least two schools with numeric results are required per subject. Percentage bands round up in 10% steps and include the full group of schools tied at the same rate; equal rates share a rank. Entry totals are shown to help interpret small subjects.

Table average Attainment 8
Calculated from the schools shown in this table.
The average updates automatically with your selected filters.
School results use Attainment 8 for the selected pupil group and academic year. Cohort size is the published number of pupils in that same group at the end of KS4; missing or suppressed counts are shown as a dash. Missing, suppressed and ambiguous scores remain unranked below numeric scores. Area membership and grammar/non-selective categories come from DfE institution information (15 October 2026). Progress 8 uses the latest numeric score available for the same school URN at or before the selected year; predecessor-school scores are not substituted. DfE Progress 8 availability guidance. Attainment 8 determines the ranking.
School Comparison

Add up to three schools to compare their key results.
English and maths pass means grade 4 or above in both subjects. Percentages use the DfE end-of-KS4 pupil cohort for each school, rather than subject entry counts. A dash means missing, suppressed or ambiguous data. Highlighted values are the highest among the selected schools, including ties; they describe attainment rather than school effectiveness.

Entries refer to the selected subject and qualification, rather than the whole school cohort. Percentages use total subject entries as the denominator. Grade 4+, 5+ and 7+ totals apply to single-award GCSEs. Other qualifications retain their published grades.
A dash means a result is unavailable, suppressed or cannot be calculated reliably. Missing grade rows are shown as zero only when the known grade counts account for all published entries. These are undiscounted results; a pupil can have more than one entry. Years come from published subject-dataset versions and may differ from the school overview period.
